Reengineering the Public Procurement Process

Abstract: The modernization of processes in Greek Public Administration still remains one of the most problematic issues. Reengineering Public Procurement procedure in order to identify and remove non value added activities can shorten some administrative burdens. It is important to determine the cost of procedures form the recognition of the need of the procurement to its implementation and payment. The new redisigned process supportes minimization of data entry with the use of a sigle Information System under Cloud instead of many used today. Using such a system can lead to a clear cost reduction of more than half.
